Senior Architect Opportunity

Kirkor Architects & Planners is a multi-faceted architectural design and planning firm with an award winning reputation for design excellence and client service. We are a highly collaborative, partner driven team of about 60 architects, designers, planners, technical and support staff working on projects across North America and around the world.

The Kirkor Partnership has grown out of our very important core staff over the last few years, and we embrace the development of long-term professionals. Currently, Kirkor is seeking a Senior Architect who is interested in working on exciting and challenging projects in a progressive environment.

A degree-holding Architect licensed to practice architecture in Ontario; you will deliver professionally executed projects with high levels of technical competency within established budgets and timelines. Your 15 plus years of experience, 5 additional years as a project architect, combined with your experience on high rise residential developments within the Ontario market will enable your success in leading teams on multifaceted projects. Building code knowledge of complex buildings is required, as is a strong understanding of development application approvals. Fluent AutoCAD skills are expected, and a working knowledge of Revit would be complementary. LEED accreditation, or working towards accreditation, would be a definite plus.

You will need excellent organizational and communication skills, enabling you to manage both large and diverse consultant teams and to foster strong working relationships with approving authorities. Together with extensive partner involvement, you will be expected to manage and mentor junior technical and design staff Kirkor continues to develop. Above all else, keeping long-term clients happy in the bustle of large projects is paramount.
