Steven Kirshenblatt formed a partnership with Clifford Korman in 1980 to found Kirshenblatt Korman Architects, now in operation as Kirkor Architects and Planners. Mr. Kirshenblatt graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1976 and became a member of the OAA in 1978. He is partner in charge of design development and construction documentation for the firm, and oversees the fulfillment of design concepts into completed projects. Mr. Kirshenblatt’s expertise lies in developing strategies to deliver well-executed, responsible, cost-efficient architecture to clients.
In order to provide clients with the latest tools for environmental sustainability, he closely monitors developments in building science and the latest advances in materials, allowing him to apply the newest smart-build technologies wherever possible.
Mr. Kirshenblatt excels at managing consultant teams in related disciplines (i.e. structure engineering, M&E engineering, etc.), ensuring that they establish clear directives and design intents as they affect the outcome of a project. He applies his high expectations to concepts and documents developed by the project team consultancies to ensure that drawings clearly and concisely communicate the intended outcomes, from site plan approval to final occupancies. |
