Brent Whitby
Partner | Architect  B.E.S, M.Arch, O.A.A, A.A.A, M.R.A.I.C.
Brent Whitby joined Kirkor in 2000 as a project architect and was made partner in 2008. He received his Masters degree from the University of Manitoba in 1994, while simultaneously working with Stantech Architecture in Edmonton. He then spent 7 years at Jenkins and Associates in Calgary, where he worked on multi-acre urban renewal projects including the re-development of CFB Calgary into a vibrant, inner-city neighbourhood.

At Kirkor, Mr. Whitby works closely with his team to negotiate the drawing details of site plan approval and building permits, and is responsible for detailed design development, construction documents and construction administration. On each project, Mr. Whitby brings the authority of the partnership directly to the site. His philosophy that many ideas should inform a project down to the smallest detail is apparent in construction documents that show the informed opinions of many. Mr. Whitby’s extensive experience in skillfully managing multi-acre urban renewal projects has made him an expert in consultant management and in the drawing development of complex, multi-use, environmentally sustainable projects. Kirkor’s ability to provide successfully constructed projects for our clients is due in large part to Mr. Whitby’s proficiency in construction sequencing and detailing.
