This mixed-use project comprises two separate sites in Mississauga, one south of Webb Drive and the other bordering the new Main street, which is an important part of Mississauga’s Downtown21 masterplan vision for the redevelopment of City Centre. At over 1000 units, the project has a 38 and a 25-storey tower with retail at grade. The podium roofs linking both buildings feature significant amenity spaces including pool, exercise and multipurpose rooms. The third, lower 18-storey building is designed to create a transition between higher density and the lower-rise single family townhomes with patios at grade. The site has an open courtyard that welcomes in the nearby school.
The design was well-received by Mississauga Urban Design and Planning. It demonstrates the basic principles of podium towers, with their heights reflecting the width of the streets that they border. There is one five storey and one ten storey podium, with retail storefront and a high level of detail including brick architecture and signage at the pedestrian level. |
