The objective of this project was to take a sophisticated, high-end urban waterfront-style development and introduce it to Scarborough, a mid-level suburban marketplace.
Already existing on the site was a four standard, slab-style high rise. The Ellipse towers needed to create excitement and serve as the site’s focus, while complementing the other four buildings. Twin elliptical towers centred on Lee Park in downtown Scarborough create a focus for the community and raise its architectural standard. The buildings allow for wider, shallower units with more linear feet of glass wall per square foot of unit area, resulting in brighter units with larger views of the cityscape. |
